Lone Mountain Ranch specializes in spectacular weddings that are unlike any other event in the American West. Whether you envision an intimate ceremony with just a few friends and family in the woods or you want a large and luxurious black-tie affair that takes over our entire 25 cabin guestroom ranch that can accommodate up to 120 people, anything is possible. Our professional culinary and banquet teams, planners, and in-town partners who specialize in décor, floral arrangements, and more will make sure your day is exactly as you imagined.
Your guests will be entertained the moment they step off the plane—no complicated extra logistics needed. We’ll work with you to create a whole weekend of options for your friends and family, including activities like fly fishing tours, hikes, yoga, horseback riding, and private tours into Yellowstone National Park. With full wedding buyouts of the ranch, we can plan your own country BBQ and hoedown, a bonfire and stargazing on the lawn with s’mores and storytelling, afterparty in our private Auric Room club, and wagon rides for the whole party.
We’ll plan your rehearsal dinner at Ranch Hall, a tented reception on the ridge, late-night parties in Horn & Cantle Saloon, farewell brunch, and more—so you can focus on enjoying every moment.

Lone Mountain Ranch has a century-long tradition of curating Yellowstone Park experiences – from the history and geology, to the backcountry and wildlife.
Downhill Skiing
Lone Mountain Ranch is located just 10 minutes from our neighbor, Big Sky Resort. On demand transportation to and from the slopes is included in guest packages. When you get to the bottom, the Ranch is the perfect place to unwind.
Outdoor Youth Adventure Program
This program builds confidence through outdoor recreation, develops an appreciation for nature, and most of all gives young people (aged 3-14) the space to roam, have fun, and connect with each other.
Fly Fishing
Situated between the world-famous Madison and Gallatin Rivers, Lone Mountain Ranch is the idyllic place to fish blue ribbon rainbow, brown brook trout, and native west slope cutthroat trout.

Day 1
3 P.M. Guest arrival and check-in
4 P.M. Horse Meet and Greet at The Barn. Saddle up and meet your horse buddy for the weekend and learn all about horse safety and riding. Enjoy beers in the barn accompanied by live music and a barber for shaves and trims.
5:30 P.M. Wagon ride to Ranch Hall
6 P.M. Welcome dinner in Ranch Hall. Your wagon will drop you off for a BBQ feast set for a true pioneer. Test your mettle with mechanical bull riding and enjoy live music and line dancing.
9 P.M. Evening Bonfire and Stargazing. Meet on the lawn for s’mores, storytelling, and a guided stargazing session. Groomsmen meet for cigars and whiskeys in The Trapper’s Den.
10 P.M. Saloon at your leisure
